About Chomiak Charolais
Our Story
Chomiak Charolais has been officially breeding and raising Charolais cattle on the original family homestead since 1994.
In 2009, we brought a Full French influence into our purebred herd, keeping in mind the needs of commercial cattle folk. We aim to provide muscular, functional bulls and calving ease, with great genetics from both our sires and dams.
Our farm is a family affair, located on the original homestead where Miotivi and Salomia Chomiak settled in 1901 after arriving to Canada from Western Ukraine. Their second home - the first was made of sod - still stands in the yard after being used as a granary for decades.
We enjoy a mixed farming operation with a focus on our Charolais cattle. It is also home to a handful of horses, plenty of cats and dogs, and the humans who feed and love them.
